Insurance Questions

Does Medicare cover hearing aids?

Unfortunately, Medicare does not have any hearing aid benefits.

How do I know if I have Hearing Aid benefits?

You can call your member services number on your insurance card to check your benefits. Also, the patient care coordinator will verify your benefits with the insurance on your first visit.

Do I need to show my insurance cards at my appointment?

Unless you know for sure that you DO NOT have hearing aid benefits you should bring your card so that the PCC can verify your coverage.

Is there a cost or do I pay a co-pay for the screening appointment?

No. Hearing screenings are free. The costs will be incurred for the hearing aids, ear molds, etc.

Do I have to meet my deductible before I can use my hearing aid benefits?

Yes. Just like with other services, you must meet your deductible. If you have not met your deductible, that amount will be subtracted from the amount of coverage you will receive for the hearing aids.

What do I do if my insurance denies payment for my hearing aids?

We will re-submit the claim and appeal the denial if needed. We will do our best to make sure that the insurance company pays the full amount of the benefit. Frequently, when full payment is not received it is most likely due to the deductible not being met.
